A PDF version of Amit's writings of hexagonal grids (Red Blob Games), which I created from his major articles he has posted on his own site. I created the PDF for those like myself who would like to be able to print the information out to read it in a more leisurely manner...
Next up is my own paper that I wrote and which has been published on several sites. This paper describes in detail how I went about developing this first part of my game engine and includes source code throughout the paper.
